Key members of our firm were trained in a law firm which by 1995 was not only the oldest in Nigeria but structured and handled the first scheme of arrangement and the first public issue of shares. We therefore have the added advantage of an extensive precedent base.

The foregoing notwithstanding, our objective is to remain innovative and versatile. In keeping with this spirit, members of our team have participated in or advised on capital markets and emerging markets of novel schemes, instruments or structures. These include unit trusts hybrid, debt/equity instruments and the first securities discount house in Nigeria.

We contribute on a regular basis to several international publications on international capital markets and emerging markets. In this regard we have also written extensively for organizations seeking to extend to Nigeria some of the services that are a necessary part of international capital and money
markets, such as securities custody services.
